I've been replaying Tales of Phantasia on Game Boy Advance SP. It's not one of my favorite JRPGs from that time, but it's still a fun one. I never finished it but I would like to. Maybe I can do it this time. I've had my phone turned off for two days. It's funny how our perspective changes when we cut phone calls and messages. The world got so used to be constantly in contact that people think we must be available 24/7. Since I left messengers, and I've been keeping my phone off, I realise that I don't need to be constantly comunicating with everyone. Everything starts to feel more quiet. And I'm loving it. Well, this was the world before the internet. So nothing new. I guess we just forgot how it was. Yesterday I put Jun Togawa playing. I don't know much about Japanese bands, but I love the work of Jun Togawa. It gives me such a joy. From Japan, being a noise musician myself, I'm very connected to Japanoise and some Onkyokei acts. Speaking of Asia, I also love the work of Mong Tong, a band from Taiwan and Enemite, a Dark Ambient Ritual project from China. Also Senyawa, from Indonesia. Summer depresses me. I can't say why, but I was never into this season. Too much people. Too much sun (is there such a thing?). Too much noise. It's also paradoxical. I was born by the sea, and had the privelege of having the beach a few minutes walking from home, and yet I don't enjoy going to the beach, specially on the afternoons, and I can skip it completely. In certain Summers I even spend a lot of time inside home. I only like going to the beach in the morning, preferably when it's empty, and I rarely go to pools. I'm an Autumn creature. I like rain, grey skies and those calm and silent sunny days only the Fall/Winter can offer.
