As you might guess, I'm taking this a far as it can go. I mean, if you are ready to take the plunge, (or if you don't "yard" or "window") find (or FORM) 
a neighborhood community garden. Or, if you "yard" and want a shitload of fresh, free produce, make yourself a large production garden.

As always, any and all of these ventures will literally force you to pay attention to Nature.
