In an effort to get the full experience of using Gopher, I'm using an 
old Dell Vostro 3300 laptop computer running Debian Trixie without any 
desktop environment installed. Just a terminal, and nothing else.

I figure that I need to put some skin in the game if I'm going to go 
old-school. ;)

Just wanted to add that for posting to my gopher hole, Midnight 
Commander (mc) is perfect. I use one pane for editing, and the other 
to establish a shell connection to sdf.org. I am able to create a 
post, change its permissions, and upload it. It doesn't get much 
easier than that.
