19:28 CDT ========================================================================== The morning commute was awful at 93 minutes. I still haven't heard back on my remote working request. Apparently, it has to travel up the chain to one of the Vice Chancellors of the College. That will take a little time. That is, providing that I don't get shot out of the saddle at the first approval hurdle. I received my mail-in ballot for the November midterms today. After much consideration, I'm just going to take advantage of our state's early voting, and vote in person. I'll just need to take the ballot with me, and present it to election staff in order that they can cancel it. I'm not leaving anything to chance. I never thought I would say this, but I don't trust the US Postal Service to do the right thing. To quote Jennifer Welch of the "I've Had It" podcast, we need to make this election turnout too big to rig.
