Now that classes are back in full swing, the 50-mile commute has 
reverted to its usual mess. It's hard to believe that I've been making 
this trip for almost 26 years. It's the price I pay for being 
gainfully employed. ;)

The trip home was better than I thought it would be. We're back to 
triple-digit temperatures in Texas. The thermometer in my truck showed 
104 degrees Fahrenheit when I left work. :o But it's not so bad when 
I'm able to come home to the wonderful woman who has deigned to be my 
wife for 43 years. :D

Today, I've been getting acquainted with using Calcurse 
(https://www.calcurse.org) on this terminal-only laptop. I didn't want 
to bother with syncing with my Google Calendars, but I can settle for 
importing an iCal file export from said calendars. It's refreshing not 
having a lot of visual clutter to distract me.
