14:55 CDT ========================================================================== I had my annual performance review today. It went well, but I was given some disheartening news. The Cap'n (my nickname for supervisors that I like) is leaving her position soon to help take care of a family member. I'm sad to see her go, but I'm glad that I was able to always ensure that her trust in me was never displaced. I always had a fair degree of autonomy in my job. I'm a little concerned about what the immediate future will bring. Regardless of how the chips may fall, I will adapt. It helps that I am intending to retire next year. It gives me an ace in the hole. On a higher note, the cardiologist called to tell me that my ECG was fine, and that he would see me again next year. This graybeard will not complain about that. ;)
