Bracken Store & Ice House, Bracken, TX

We had a downbeat time of 15:00. The venue is an outdoor patio gig. It 
was hot, though we were on a covered slab with fans blowing air 
around. I think a combination of the heat, and the Labor Day holiday 
weekend were factors for the low attendance. 

This particular venue is known for an event called 'Chicken Shit 
Bingo'. An enclosure of chicken wire surrounds a board with numbered 
squares painted on it. People buy tickets that match those number 
squares. At the start, a chicken or two is placed in the enclosure. 
The object is to wait until a chicken shits on the board. The number 
is declared, and the player with the matching ticket wins a cash prize 
from the ticket sales. You gotta be from Texas to understand this 
time-honored tradition.
