2025-11-01 ---------- Ficus in the study I've moved my Ficus microcarpa (ginseng) into my study. It had been growing slowly but steadily in the kitchen -- perhaps a little neglected at times -- and I finally decided to give it a more prominent place, where I can enjoy looking at it and take better care of it. It was a gift we received several years ago, and it appears to be a little over 50 cm tall by now. On this occasion, I replanted it into a new pot, replaced the depleted soil, and wiped the dust from its leaves. The plan is to help it get back into shape with more regular watering and a bit of fertilizer, so perhaps I can start cultivating it into a proper bonsai tree soon. Now that I think of it, I might have been partly motivated by the tilde.town botany game.
