fri8jan99 (a secret) ------------------------------------------------------------ here is a secret not really secret on network, thoughts and company taken together make things happen. no worse and likely a whole lotta love better than other forms of human and otherwise communication. here's a concrete example from living, not from logic: when a group of people are together there are patterns on top of the bodies present that if looked at with peripheral vision or directly (perhaps both) for "body language: the overt positions of the body and the movements of body parts of all bodies present" tell and communicate so much more than words of the present bodies taken separately as streams or as record of the time. at one point in some community group this last november in the hospital for behavior modification psychiatry i was convinced that we were "acting out" a distributed system equivalent to an atomic clock. that we _were_ an atomic clock for something. because it was important and not just as a demo. perhaps as an amplifier for other communication? i don't want to say more for fear of ridicule. and because those are my intuitions. and because that stuff is off topic here. and that the invitee-cherokee starting the hearth, the ceremonial cherokee starting the mirth, the one starting an another ceremony and present for that ritual the throwing of a little fuck a little joy into it was a necessary part of any such thing. and a clock is -- like -- the least complex thing alive one would posit or ponder. a virus is a clock on its own dime. acting out in a trajectory of spacetime. is that a secret? or is that just a private thought that could be not secret that could be. understood and used. we have network. roger. from our vantage point at last. we have selfaware network. we always had poetry. but now we have network.
