		very scary.  driving to cincy tonight.
		black ice and more than a few times
		the evil tug on the steering wheel.

		roadside wrecks fresh-kill often
		garlanded with the red and blue blooms
		of cruiser lights.

		that huge mangling wreck in indy
		fire engines hovering like surgical nurses

		lonesome cars strewn highway side like killed deer
		no slain deer as a matter of fact

		blowing snow
		like a screensaver

		but it was only supposed to be so-so
		so bad.
