		dear school, teachers, students, janitors and
		even hall monitors, you are dear to me all of
		you.
		
		i am humbled to give this speech.  it means a
		lot to me.  in fact, i was so unsure i could
		or even should be writing it, i had marek
		lugowski do it for me.  he's a badass editor
		in chicago, on usenet.  usenet is like
		internet only different.
		
		anyway, it is not important who wrote the
		speech.  what is important is that my life
		and your life are racing in all directions at
		once, and that this is our one moment to
		think about it together.
		
		what is important?  what should i do with
		myself?  what should you do with yourselves?
		watching seinfeld only goes so far, and now
		even that is not an option.
		
		one thing that has sustained everyone across
		the ages is cleaning house.  so think of
		anything at all -- as house.  then go clean
		it.
