		(getting over the med-snowed feeling)

		i'm getting my passion back.
		(been running on determination.)

		little by little the spark
		tells me:

		little by little the spark
		remains the same

		oh i still more often than not
		keel over in the early evening
		and sleep

		instead of finding that girl.


		II

		i know that i am going 
		to the mountains
		in the summer

		the resolve is slowly sinking in
		like our library
		so many millimeters per year
		the wages of landfill

		we have some of the most excellent
		and some of the most average collections

		just like me my own
		all those that-girls ago
		in my rearview mirror

		objects appear closer than

		ah yes.  the mountains.
		i will sleep when slept to.
		i will eat when eaten with.
		i will live
		and the spark will live
		high on the hog
		in the glacier sierra
		in the canadian sierra
		in the montanan bitterroots

		i am going to the mountains this year
		meanwhile -- i still bill

		the internal snooze
