	one dark stocky -- longjeaned
	one thin blonde plain -- faded
	and as they walk towards me
	closest to me
	one in shortshorts palelegged slender

	as rocketfuel is slendered towards achieving the escape
	velocity of hydrogen and oxygen apollo 8 we have liftoff

	a heavenbound fire

	deeply brown haired
	muchly brown eyed -- a conjecture
	not enough pixels on target from the second floor

	maybe on the way to hecky's barbecue (it's the sauce)
	or to planet earth (silver amethyst and zodiac
	and nifty greeting cards)

	the girl whose geometry is capable of shooting the moon
	or bounding or slowing down hearts -- to at least
	the next betrayal laughs out loud squats picks up
	a thing slenderer than her by times ten

	triumphantly holds it over her bunned head
	surely not a snake (but these days) could be a silver chain
	then pauses to tie her sandal and
	congeals in a classic pose

	o eve -- i call em as i see em
	the hint of your thigh the set of your hip
	the line of your calf is love
	encoded.

	o fine bitter chocolate o pig's truffle o dripping honey o chestnut

	o dark-pretty pale-pretty (dark and no tan?) girl

	o higher-elevations coca leaf

	o glass-served iced seltzered coca-cola

	o you who are aware and live somewhere with somebodies
	(your mom!)

	and to some (any?) none many (one?) including but not limited to
	void where prohibited

	a peculiar slick burning sensation
	a full-duplex continuum of i love yous as well as up yours
	a euphoria
	an occasional thai dinner or just an ol hairfuzzy warmth

	or the cool of your bony shoulders birdlike feet girly ankles
	and those immaculate -- i bet chipped-polish dirty narrow hands
	let me guess --	always cold?

	and not at all as an afterthought:
	a great personality, courteous, only sometimes impolite, often
	found helping the infirm across the road
	never smoking littering or stuffing up toilets with napkins oh no

	o you.  am stuck here staffed thus
	stuffed -- behind the just-so clear glass -- decoding you until
	the next betrayal
