it's a tradeoff. If its real chainmail, you might not be able to
   really use the ...hand. And... stainless steel, even a thin mesh
   like brillo pad, is VERY difficult for knives to cut through.
   Cost-benefit analysis: Get the fishing glove for $15 and test
   it. It's at KMart - I got mine there. Walmart probably has it
