   been a 'batty' character but over the years, I've watched the
   transformation from a stoic british know-it-all to a more
   heroic, loving the 'brink of disaster' moments, cursed by his
   inability to "shut down". Same character, but cast in a light
   more psychologically graspable by the 21st century society. "
