I *also* stayed away from watching BBT for the same reason. It
   was too relateable in my case. I saw one episode and I was like
   "oh fuck, they're making stereotypical nerds cool and they
   remind me of my darkest sides. Nope - can't watch" 'cause I
   understood what they were talking about and what little mistakes
   they made just in that one episode and I knew it'd be like
   sports for me.... cheering and jeering and I don't watch sports.
