My mother worked for a prosecutor's office in New Jersey (USA)
   long ago. (same as "district attorney" in other US states). One
   lawyer used to come into court wearing a cape. Needless to say,
   they made him put a stop to that after a few weeks. He would've
   made a terrible cop, unless the cape was bulletproof.
