There was a Rule of the Ancient Internet: Back in the days of
   Yore, when Usenet was Facebook and some ASCII was still 7-bit,
   it was the time of the Flame Wars. The Flame Wars of yore, were
   akin to the Debates of today. But they were considered
   undesirable and when they occurred, a single rule emerged that
   could douse the highest of flames and the trolliest of trolls,
   once known as Flamers who would issue Flamebait: Pick up your
   hands and put them flat inbetween the seat of your chair and
   your bottom for a count of 30 seconds before pressing R for
   reply. It was a very effective solution and I believe, remains
   true to this very day, so many years hence.
