It _would_ be that easy, but change that you're talking about
   doesn't happen. I agree that removing compulsory schooling could
   solve the issue, and then any issues between them could be
   resolved by friends, family, police, whoever is in charge of
   handling disputes that they can't handle themselves. But... it's
   not likely that forced schooling from ages 5-18 is going away.
   Until it does, generations of kids will CONTINUE to have to go
   through the meat-grinder. It doesn't just go away on a wish. I
   want it to as well. I think we have the means for it to go away.
   School DOESN'T have to exist anymore as it is. It's the product
   of an older time. But people have too much invested in it.
   Careers, money, textbook publishers. People use it as a
   launchpad for political careers. It's all bullshit yet it's not
   going away. So as great as your answer is: and I agree that it
   would be a fantastic start... no, I don't think I'm over
   thinking it at all. I don't WANT to have to think that deeply
   into it, but issues in the real world are very complicated
   because there are a lot of people who work hard to keep "things
   just the way they are". It pisses me off. It's not right. But
   until the status quo ppl are no longer an issue, we have to go
   through their stupid mazes and over think some things to come up
   with partial, awkward answers.
