I've been both religious-ish and agnostic (agnostic at present)
   but the after-death thing never really affected me at any time.
   I like being a good person because I believe it's good to be
   good. Doesn't matter if it's self-referential. Me, myself and I
   is equally absurdly self-referential. I could be reincarnated. I
   could go to heaven. I could be dust in the wind. I could live on
   in a computer. I could live on, fragmented within the
   consciousnesses (patterns/whatever) of those who i had contact
   with and in all cases: I don't know. Hence: agnostic. I could
   pick any of the above or none of the above or something else and
   I still wouldn't change.
