Just joined. Found my way here in a roundabout way. Saw an
   interesting paper by +[1]Thiago Oliveira da Motta Sampaio then
   looked up his Youtube, which linked to his Google+ which showed
   this group and I thought, "Yup, that's definitely a field I find
   fascinating". So, here I am - and Hi :) I've been dissecting my
   biases from a subjective point of view, seeing what still fits
   me and what were just "scripts" I was following without
   realizing it (roleplaying as it were) so that I can end up with
   a set of known Biases I can stand behind firmly. Granted, this
   might seem more the realm of Psychology but it's not entirely
   and this group I hope to provide support in my endeavor.* After
   all, how can I claim to speak for "all" if I can't authentically
   speak for my 'self"?* Discerning the self for me becomes crucial
   as I want to be my spokesperson rather than the spokesperson for
   an ideology that just seems nice but I haven't investigated
   fully. That's my short bio for this group :)
