[1]IDEA-TO-IDEOLOGY The other day I was challenged to write my
   long-winded ideas about "How an Idea becomes an Ideology, along
   with its problems" and I whipped this together in 10 minutes
   using Dia. WM and a few other ppl I can think of might
   appreciate this and perhaps debate/challenge/add-on/give
   thoughts upon. *I'm pretty proud of it - looks like I know what
   I'm talking about doesn't it? *[but really, I just make stuff up
   as I go along and hope it sticks to the wall] WM responds: My
   initial reaction was, "where is the cyclical nature?" then I
   decided... "nah, more of a vectored spiral once time is
   involved." Me again: Yeah, I threw it together in 10 minutes.* I
   had explained the SAME concepts but in long-winded form and he
   was totally confused. Then he annoyed me and said, as if he was
   my schoolteacher:* "I want it to be SUCCINCT, CONCRETE AND
   SENSIBLE " Well that just pissed me right off.* I was perfectly
   succinct, concrete and sensible..* Well, not succinct. Anyway,
   instead of saying, "f'you if I have to Mickey-Mouse it for you",
   like I wanted I simply said: CHALLENGE ACCEPTED. and I
   challenged myself to whip something together as fast as possible
   that would blow his underpants off at my speed of production.*
   And, it worked.* 10 minutes, done. After that, he loved
   everything I said in the group conversation after that.*
   Couldn't get enough of me. But yeah, there's more I could add to
   it.* More arrows, more boxes. Actually, I don't like the
   linear-ness of the time at all because that's not how I
   envision/utilize time. But - I had to simplify and fast. Anyway,
   if you see errors lemme know.* It's unlikely I'm going to go
   back and change anything, unless you blow me away with something
   that I can translate into boxes and arrows :P* I like the
   conceptualization of Time, but that might require several
   overlapping layers to produce a 3D model shifting through
   alternate timelines... or a video.* A video would probably
   work.* But, I just did this for a 'chat room' (ok, a facebook
   group that was really chatty)... but I was pretty proud at short
   work.* And it accomplished my goal:* get a guy who thought I was
   a clueless, yapping yahoo to instead believe that I might know
   what I'm talking about. I don't, of course.* But boxes and
   arrows sure are purty. and make me seem smart :P ::: adjusts
   nerd glasses... which... I wear ::: :p
