The reason I lay it on the feet of Plato is because his conceptualization of it [mind you, I adore Plato in every other way] and influence - while it has led to some of humanities greatest achievements... it has ALSO led to a skewed view of reality... where the "mind" and "body" or "imagination" and 'reality" are seen as separate things. They're not separate - not entirely. We don't experience Time in the same way in the mind. We experience time differently in our 'meat world'. Yes, the worlds behave differently but they're part of the same world. I believe in belief. I believe in fantasy - and I get lost in the worlds of my imagination. But these worlds are _real_; the schemas are actual patterns in my brain. They are functioning machines creating realities that actually do exist. I can translate them into other languages. Writings. Drawings. Music. Talking. Singing. Dancing. I can draw on paper and get a crew of people to translate what's in my imagination and make it show up "out here". But my point is: imagination is real.
