I love Time stuff. The "connected train" theory of Time is a nice one; I like it, although it's really a digitizing of Time but with self-emergent properties. Still nice though; I like self-emergent theories. Still though, when they get back to the start, they'll still be stuck. Hadron won't help. It's a shell-game at present, moving the pea around. But hopefully they'll _eventually_ come up with somewhat more timey-whimy time theories. I keep waiting. We're still stuck on a --> shaped causality, even if it's shortening the time arrow, although the emergent time _does_ offer *some* time retrograde action, at least at the tiniest levels. But our cognitive systems are what's in the way anyhow. Me? I think Time is far more expressive than all that. See Heidegger for one set of slightly different concepts. There's others. I have my own; allowing for future completed goals to influence the origin without controlling it by providing a potential pathway without it being the exclusive one while not requiring mathematical oddities like multiple universes either. It's just combining the fate/free-will thing together, which isn't hard. Theoretical Physics is a baby in the philosophy department but it's getting there. But philosophy is a baby in the literature department, so they all have a ways to go, in my book :)
