I put my foot in my mouth frequently, but have learned the importance of apology. I speak boldly with the best of knowledge I have at hand, and wait for correction. If I'm mistaken, I apologize. I've also gone the alternative route, of waiting until I have all of my facts 100% correct before acting... but then I found I wasn't contributing anything. I like being wrong; I'm a know-it-all by nature and it forces me to step back and go, "Ok. I learned something today about myself"
