^I found a "philosophy of mind" that I can get behind... *finally*. It's called Embodied Cognition. It sounds ridiculously simple: The metaphors we use are *directly* linked to how we *think* about things, ultimately. It seems to link up with the circuits in the brain that neuro scientists are working on pretty directly. Our brain isn't just a part of our body - our body is a part of our brain - they aren't separate things. And we are more linked up to our environment and culture than we'd like to believe sometimes.^
