a dismal day in the cycle. weather has
been gray to match. 

there's a Bjork song, "Undo," that goes:

"it's
not
meant to be a 
strife.

it's 
not 
meant to be a struggle
up-
hill."

i think about that a lot. is struggle 
a necessary aspect of the growth process?

probably it's a matter of discerning to 
what degree the labor bears fruit.
