the downy woodpecker IS back!

saw them briefly as they pecked at the 
suet, they startled off as i came into the
window area.

saw one of the black-capped chickadees 
at the suet later.

saw someone at one of the hanging 
feeders, might have been a female house
sparrow (there's a little colony that 
seems to live in the rhododendrons), 
but seemed a bit bigger to me. i 
couldn't get a good look at her in full 
as she was feeding from the side 
opposite the window. i think she may 
have had a yellow underbelly.
