## 21 Result

During this week, I had to autoevaluate my lab for the next audit. And I also had another result...my first film with the small Konica C35V. The camera is older than me (1971) but exactly what I wanted with no electronics, only a cell, built in metal, but not so heavy and big. I did some picture around my house, with some mistakes with that "zonefinder". Making digital pictures creates bad habits like thinking that what you see in the viewfinder is what the film sees...Except when you forget the lens cap. The other issue is when your film developent lab is making bullshit. It's one of the most famous in France but I had read that sometimes it's awful. It was my case with bad scans, folds and other traces on the scans. It doesn't matter, it was to test the camera. It works.

I don't think I will "publish" any of those pictures somewhere. Some are good but not enough if they are alone. My idea was a kind of report of how a town is transforming. I have many other pictures to do for that project. And it will be only with a film camera. This one or the other one, just coming back from repair. Now my question is about film. What film is the most appropriate for that. For that test, I used Fomapan 100 but it's not the better one. The next one is a Fomapan 400 or A Rollei 400. I will use Kodak later, when I will be more used to the camera. I also did street photography in Paris and it was really fun. No results for the moment but I will use the other lab I know. If it's not good, I will go to the old lab I knew in Paris, smaller, not with a website process but always doing good corrections to my pictures.

That's what I like with film camera : You don't see what you have done just after your shot. You have to think about it. You have to be more technical. I just bought an old cell to measure the light, if sometimes I'm not sure. I lost the one from my father...It's not so expensive if you choose an old cell with Selenium, without battery. I'm also reading a lot and looking a lot of pictures. I don't like how Photography evolves. Most photographer are transforming reality with some settings on their camera or after that with lightroom/photoshop. I did that 15 years ago but I don't like it anymore. The result must not be far from the reality of the nature, of the event, of the scene. I understand that Photography is also an art but it becomes Digital Art. It's like using IA for everything. My result must be lie when I write an Haiku : A Reflection of that Moment.
