## 18 Simple Behind that word, there's a lot to say. Simple was my motto this week. To make it simple for one of my hobby : Photography. I keep only two digital cameras but I have bought a new 35mm Compact camera, a camera from the late 60s, very simple, very robust, and also easy to use. I don't need auto-focus and electronics. Only a good sensor for the light and a lot of work in my mind is enough. But that's not the only thing to make it simpler. I have spent a lot of hours in the retro-gaming database website. We are a few people to put data and pictures, etc...I will end this at the end of the year, or spend less time on it. My goal was to have at least 80% of data OK for the more than 170 000 games. We are at 78% now and we won't be far from the goal at the end of the year. The problem is that there's too much new games now, each week, than a human can play or write in it. And the other problem comes from AI with too much false website and mistakes in data coming from AI. I can't imagine how it can be in other databases... It will be more simple for me to just play with my old games on my 3 or 4 main consoles/computers. It's enough for the rest of my life. Life has never been so simple with my actual PC. A good mint, a new version each two or three years and it's without any issues for the moment with my good old Lenovo. I'm always thinking to make it simple with the smartphone too. If only I could go back to the fist versions of Android, when the user could do almost everything. It will be harder in the future and Google wants to kill F-Droid and other alternative market places. It's the same with cars and I'm particularly aware with that. With more and more sensors, more interfaces with smartphones and other terminals, it's not simple to make it works. Antipollution rules look very simple compared to the other rules. I'm reading more testimonies with problems with several aids in the vehicles. Hell is full of good intentions. I have changed many things in my work too, trying to make it simple for everyone. I put some of my "intelligence" in it to translate what the customer is trying to express. There's a lot to do and I just wrote a post on the french blog about that. For the moment, I have to sell some goods that I don't need anymore. And we should realy think about simpler way to live. 2DÉ› => mailto:icemanfr@sdf.org Comments by mail or by a reply on your blog
