All right now, that's Mike McLeod from Imboden, Arkansas playing a song he wrote, "Everybody Knew Me But You". And kicking us off tonight we heard him sing a traditional Blues, "Little Sadie", recorded at the Craighead Forest Bandshell.

On May 16, 2010 we heard Chester Jetton at the bandshell. Here he is now singing "Family Farm"

Now that's what I'm talking about, John Spencer singing "Poke Salad Annie" at the Craighead Forest Bandshell. We enjoyed The Spencer Brothers, John and Tommy Spencer, on May 16, 2010 at Sunday In The Park right here in Jonesboro. They both love live music and you can see them in the audience at almost every KASU Blue Monday and Bluesday Tuesday. Kicking us off Tommy sang "I Walk The Line", "Gotta Travel On", and "Mississippi Delta Town". Then he turned it over to John to sing a few.

John Spencer has a good sense of humor and he kind of rewrote this next song which he renamed "How Much Is That Pitbull In The Window". He invited me up to play harp with him and we really get the Blues going at the end. I think I'm taking over for The Generator Man here, because the song is not usually thought of as Blues and you usually don't think of Patti Page as a Blues singer.

Then we'll hear John sing "Miller's Cave" and Tommy sing a Johnny Cash song "Give My Love To Rose". I just love this real deal, Northeast Arkansas, Blues and Country music. Until next time this is Hairy Larry reminding you once again, Blues is the Mainstream.
