Something Blue - Mankind HL1 Welcome to Something Blue. Tonight we have two extended excerpts from two great concerts. They will be played without interruption just like you were there live. First we will hear The Radiators from New Orleans. They gave a great show at the Parrish Room on April 21, 2006. A lot of great Blues and Blues Rock. You can hear the whole show on the Live Music Archive at archive.org. And you can find out more about Something Blue podcasts and join the liveblog discussions at sbblues.com. Right now we have The Radiators on KASU. We'll hear "Number 2 Pencil", "Whole Lotta Love", a shout out to the next show: "Smokestack Lightning", and a Beatles song, "Tomorrow Never Knows". We'll play four songs recorded at The Biltmore on June 20, 2008. "No Egos Underwater", "My Blues All Right", "Working On A Building", and "Mankind". Playing with Colonel Bruce Hampton are Kris Dale on bass; Mark Letalian, drums; and Perry Osborne, guitar. Perry is from Jonesboro and studied Jazz at ASU. He toured with Gary Gasaway and now with the Quark Alliance. Perry also wrote the opening instrumental I'm playing tonight, "HL1". So let's enjoy Colonel Bruce Hampton's and Perry Osborne's guitar work, right here on KASU.
