A short session of yoga to start the day. Natarajasana, Garudasana, a few forward bend and some variations, one variation I think came from my Thai Massage teacher. When I look around, I'm annoyed by how people don't take care of their body. I'm not annoyed at them, but at the culture we live in, where it's not only acceptable, but it's the norm to disregard caring for your body. It's not so much that a lot of people are fat (I also consider myself quite overweight) but people's energy is often stuck around their hips. Too much sitting create this lower back arching, which deform the whole spine. I'm not only trying to loose weight, but also want to change my body mechanic and posture. I want to get to one hour of physical training a day. I do that 3 to 4 time a week so far, but I'd like to reach 7 days a week, mixing yoga, taichi, boxing, karate, self massage. -0- Theater night, almost with all my lines. I was deeply involved in my character. I broke the fourth wall a couple time, looking at the audience. Surprised, the other actors sitting, watching, engaged, taken away by our scene. We've been playing theater for over 10 years, me and the actor I'm playing with. Although still early in the season, we're already far into emotions, realism, intensity. The director has little to change. I forget sometime, I'm a decent actor. I've started acting around the age of 19. I studied science for a year, and when I realized that University would be the same, I was discouraged. I shifted to theater, discovered the old part of the school. I discovered people that were a lot more aligned with who I was. When I was living in Montreal I would see some of my friends I've studied theater with in short movies and ads. I didn't pursue acting. I barely finished college. My teacher was quite influential, but the drugs and the desire for freedom was stronger, I moved to Montreal and started working in computer networking. I've been part of improv, I've also joined a small strange theater troupe in Montreal for a couple year. But it's only when I moved West that I've started back in theater. It's been around 10 years now that I'm part of this troupe. Acting is a form of meditation for me, or a training that helps with meditation. This process of removing one's ego for a moment, to enter someone's else life. It was really clear from the start, our ego is simply a mask that we put on. To become a good actor, I have to let go of my attachment to that mask, so I can take on any other masks. My year of training was quite influential for my own evolution, I sometime forget about it.
