These are really raw notes about my sexuality and my practices. It's a bit strange to share, but I feel like we should all talk more about it, so here we are. No more ejaculations. I don't need to, and I can still have a lot of pleasure without releasing sperms. It also give me a lot more control when with someone else. It affects my mood positively. I am surprised how quick this practice has changed the relation to my sexuality. There is a lot less tension and lust, my mind is a lot clearer but I still can get aroused when I want to. Previously I would get horny, and then my mind would be filled with desires. I would then have to masturbate and ejaculate. It would calm the tension but also make me tired and sloppy. Now I don't have these urges anymore, and I decide when I want to get aroused. Breathing and Mantra When practicing alone or with someone, I've started to be aware of my breathing and also reciting mantra in my head. I use a mantra to Shiva which I find appropriate for the energy. Being aware of my breath is good at any moment in my day, and even more potent when in any sort of action. Again, this added awareness helps me decide instead of being overwhelm with lust. I do tend to loose the excitement a bit when focusing too much on the mantra and the breath, so I am exploring how to use my body in a way to keep a strong erection even when the mind is somewhere else. Kundalini The second chakra is located at the genitals, and there is a practice specific for that chakra. It consist of practicing the muscle used for stopping the urine. This same muscle can be used to keep the blood in the organ, thus keeping the erection going. This exercise can be done at any time. Holing the tension for 10 seconds and releasing, doing this 10 time for a round. Doing this twice a day to start, then extending the time to 15, 20 etc. In the Kundalini practices, there is this visualization of the energy going up through the chakra. I find it helps to visualize the energy that is stuck at the genitals going up in the body to fill the body. Yoga Bandas In yoga, there are the bandas in the first couple chakra, where one pulls in the energy from the anus, to the internal organs, pulling up at the diaphragm. You can perform these 3 locks at the same time and training the energy to go upward. The bandas are a type of 'lock' where you tense a part of the body to direct the energy where it needs to go. Yoga Asana At the moment I do a simple sun salutation as a daily practice, where I focus a lot on the lunges. This stretch in the hips region, is releasing the tensions held deep into the body, and the genitals. The crow, where you squat and then balance on your hand helps with that opening. While the Lion movement helps connecting the tongue with the genitals. I don't remember where I read that, but there is an energetic connection between the two. More to come on this, but I've experience a lot of sexual control often when I was in a yoga retreat or when I was practicing hatha for a couple hours a day. Micro orbit circulation While practicing, I also add the micro orbit meditation. This comes from the Taoist chi cultivation, where you circulate the energy around the body. The arousal of my sexuality creates a lot of potential, and that energy can be moved around quite easily. This is also preliminary to circulating the energy not only within your body but also the body of your partner. You can imagine the energy flowing like 2 circle connected at the genitals, creating an infinite sign. No more pornography Although that has been the case for a long time, I am not using pornography anymore. I think there is a major loss of energy when it's directed to the internet. It does feel very strange when I am faced with pornography these days, so I simply followed that sensation and gave it up. I think one could actually use pornography as a training, but it might become also have a negative effect on the mind. I am not sure, I might re-visit that at one point.
