The morning was so sweet. Nothing to think about, nowhere to go, no one to be there for. I wake up, realize nothingness, go back to sleep. The cat has food, I could sleep all day if I needed. Ravens are partying in the compost. The gross chicken wings I tried to cook the next morning of the party was a feast for them. It wakes me up. I'm in a strange rhythm of work and rest. It works well, although I don't feel like I'm working a lot, money is getting in, task are getting done. But my energy is low, depleted, and I like it. A text on my phone.. My ex-wife coming in today to pick up some more stuff. It doesn't feel good, I don't want to see her. We're not in the same reality anymore. Even my daughter doesn't want to hang out with her anymore. I am preparing for an uncomfortable moment, a forced hug, she will say something that triggers me. It'll be weird for a moment. I'm hoping to stay in this house for one more year. A last year of relation with the land, a whole winter of work and healing, and probably partying. Getting ready by next summer to be mobile, to be on the road, to move to a new place. It feels like I'm in a transition, for some reason. A relationship that has done its course, but you stay with it for a bit longer, as it's more practical. Ravens are still wandering around. More chicken for them. They are more afraid this year. I used to hang out with them more often. Ospreys are hunting today, this is getting boring, I guess I need a coffee.
