My process of hibernation happens when I am sick or when I feel like I need a lot of rest. What I do is that I stay in bed, and try to go back to sleep. As long as I can go back to sleep I do so. I do that for a few days, normally during vacation like right now. Not that I really take time off, I still work during the day, but my client expect a bit less responsiveness during time like Christmas. Today I've slept until noon, I went to be around 11pm, so almost 13 hours of sleep. That's not bad. I've had days in the past where I would sleep over 20 hours. I was probably sick at that time. Hibernation for me is a cure all, it really re-balance a lot of thing in my body and my mind. And it's easy to navigate, as long as I can fall asleep I do so, without judging or thinking, sleep becomes the most important need. It's also a good time to fast, so my metabolism doesn't need to digest. I might still drink coffee of tea for the few hours I am up, but I would also take some castor oil to make sure my digestive track is clean.
