Two doses into those meds, and my BP hasn't exceeded the threshold to take them yet, even with an anxiety attack that hit me. That said, today has been...fruitful. I'm currently typing this on what's normally my secondary laptop, but with how things have been going, I may make it my main system again. My MacBook Pro isn't as nice with a Linux distro, but my Latitude, even without its nVidia GPU active, works quite well for my current needs. I've mostly been switching to using terminal programs as well, as my eyes haven't been enjoying bright light. * Emacs for writing and editing files, along with my sort of wiki I'm making with markdown files. * elfeed (and elfeed-org) for my RSS feeds * Gnus for email and newsgroups * `cmus` for music * `mc` for file stuff * `lynx`, eww, and elpher for smolweb browsing * `screen` for terminal multiplexing Part of this is from my return of focus on the subject of permacomputing. Especially with the way tech is going at the moment. I need to get around to learning elisp, C, and maybe go back to Perl as well. I've also been considering tcl for that old-school feel, and perhaps uxn on top of it all. Just things to get me actually /learning/ again, instead of sitting around idle during my "downtime".[^1] One of my mates is currently upgrading their PC with some parts they've been sitting on for over a year, and moving to Linux on top of it. They're using MemeO...I mean that CachyOS thing that's been getting meme'd relentlessly. The Arch-with-a-side-of-rice. Not that I have a problem with their choice. I just find it funny they went with that one when they always complain about things that get overhyped. Guess it's the season of change for some of us. \~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~/ [^0]: Garlic Extract, Flaxseed Oil, Iron, and a generic multivitamin.
