  There's been a lot that's happened in my life since all
the excitement last year, but the last four months have
been a bit of a whirlwind as well. Not all of it for the
best, but hey...

  First of all, Mammalian Meat Allergy (Alpha-Gal Syndrome)
is a right pain in my feline tail. Having to be extremely
careful about what I eat, especially while trying to eat
out with family, has become an incredibly insane experience
on its own. I already had a shellfish allergy, and then I
found out I have one with /canola oil/ of all things, but
AGS has become the biggest thorn when it comes to dealing
with cross-contamination. It's been driving me toward being
a vegetarian, more out of just coping with the problem.

  Then, I got a door installed for my bedroom. That was to
let me install an air conditioner, because my bedroom was
reaching temps of 38C or more during this insane heatwave.
I was literally sleeping in hot enough temps to induce
heat exhaustion. I'm glad my mates pushed me toward getting
the AC put in, but it took a while.

  We also got good news in that we were put on the waiting
list for the county weatherization assistance program. That
might end up being a lot of help if they can provide even
some new insulation.

  We got one mate a vehicle to get back to DoorDashing, and
our other mate is starting a new job as a mechanic in a
couple of weeks. I'm also getting back into my writing and
art a lot more. It's been /exciting/ on that front, to say
the least.

  No bed bugs, though my bed was destroyed. I had to get a
new futon to replace the air mattress I was using as a temp
solution.

  It's been a lot of things all at once lately. I'll be
much happier when I can find some downtime again.
