The gopher server won't be affected, but the website is down for the time being. I need to either set up something to help protect it from bots, or just something. I didn't want to set up Anubis, but I might have to. The worst part is that the *AI* bots are being better behaved than the "security scanner" and exploit bots that keep hammering the server. They keep trying to exploit non-existant WordPress and WebDAV vulnerabilities, of which I run neither. It's a static site using SSI[^0] for a template. That's it. Not even CGI, as much as I want to do stuff with that. Sadly, I'm pretty sure gopherspace and gemini aren't any better protected in the grand scheme of things, but at the very least, it's not going to surge usage on the VPS and potentially cost me money. If I could, I'd host the thing myself. It's depressing to think that, despite all of the anger over AI problems, it's security stuff that's doing more damage than they are for me. Whelp... \~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~/ [^0]: Server-Side Includes
