Title: Tech YouTube just isn't worth for me it anymore

I'm seeing the same shitty takes, the same bad advice, the same in-your-face
push for genAI and other crappy technologies, the same "Use Linux or you're
worthless" attitude from the FOSS world... It just really isn't worth my time
follow any of it anymore. There /are/ some great channels in the vintage and
retro tech scene that can be fun to watch sometimes, but generally, I just
can't bring myself to do so anymore. Not even really in passing.

In my RSS feeds follow a couple of gaming/horror ARG channels, a few channels
for animators, several musicians...and some vlogs. Vanlife, off-grid living,
tiny home stuff, artists, and authors, they show up both in NetNewsWire and on
my phone with Tubular. I stopped using YouTube itself to track everything.

To be honest, I think I'm better off this way. I get less drama, less stress,
don't have to hear about random news bullets that I didn't want to know anyway,
and generally come off happier because of it. The channels I /do/ follow are
typically chill, or even outright positive, and I enjoy seeing their updates
when they show up, even if they're not too regular. I've got a text file with
the feed URLs for your RSS reader if you want to check them out yourself[0].

That said, I've mostly replaced the time spent watching tech stuff with just
listening to internet radio, or even my own music collection. I recently ran
into Pixabay[1], and I've been enjoying their library of royalty-free works as
well. The user folk_acoustic[2] has some absolutely beautiful tracks that are
helping me relax, so I can vouch for their work being good.

(Aside: I realize I just went "Among Us Mode" there for a moment, but I'm not
going to change it. Vouching for their work will stay!)
