/~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~\ Title: Exhaustion Date: March 29, 2025 |~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~| I'm finally free to do a bit of writing and work on other things. I've been taking care of my uncle, and while my mate has been visiting family in another state, I'm on my own until April 1st when he returns. Cue me getting another foot injury that needs attention, followed by my uncle going into the hospital with pneumonia. So I'm on my own with an injured foot, but I have free time and can still take care of myself. Admittedly, I'm exhausted on top of everything else. I'm using YouTube less, I'm being much more picky about what blog and phlog posts I read, and just want to try and lessen the mental burden I have as much as possible right now. Even more so when it comes to technology. But I still end up wanting to collapse out of mental exhaustion and stress every few hours or so. Negativity sticks in my brain for long periods, and it always ends up hitting me like a truck from out of nowhere. Just writing /this very post/ has me in a state where I feel like I want to pass out at my desk and forget this world exists. After I finish, I probably /will/ collapse in bed and sleep for a few hours or so, just to recover. But when I'm like this--and I've been so quite often lately--I can't really do anything meaningful. I can't write, or chat, or socialize in any way, or be creative. Not until I get some rest and kinda /reset/, so to speak. |~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~| Funny... I ended up falling into bed shortly after writing that previous paragraph. 8 hours later, I'm awake again, and still feeling worn out. That said, I'm doing an install of Debian on some spare hardware to maybe give my brain something to work on: continuing to move my workflow off of all the things I might not have access to in the future, and onto something I can easily keep going myself if needed. With vim and vimwiki, pandoc, imagemagick, and a few other tools, I can definitely do it, but it's going to have one hell of an adjustment period for my brain once I'm writing again. Mostly because of LaTeX or Markdown for PDFs, but yeah... That's gonna be /fun/. \~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~/ [0]:
