[11/5/2024 - 17:39:45] Today was fun, just in a very weird way. I didn't go to school today, instead I went over to Cane's to get some food. Cane's was definitely an acquired taste for me. At first I thought it tasted like toothpaste without the mint flavoring, now it tastes well seasoned. The three piece combo is enough for me, along with the lemonade. Using the Texas Toast, fries, chicken, and a bit of the Cane's sauce I make a little slider. The person who was glancing at me every so often saw me do that and tried it for themselves. Glad I could convert them. Afterwards,I went over to my Grandpa's old property. He died roughly two years ago at this point, the house was in a nice area so somebody bought it almost immediately. It looks different, the color palette they used for the exterior resembles more of a modern take. Monochrome colors as far as the eye can see. The house before being remodeled and painted had a more metallic look to it. My grandpa was a cheap man when it came to those sorts of luxuries. It all comes down to how he lived before becoming a landlord. It's almost like a sort of learned helplessness. After living in rented RVs for a good three quarters of his life, he didn't like to spend money on anything that wasn't absolutely necessary. In some ways, I can respect that. He was modest in his lifestyle. Still a scumbag though. After taking a glance at his old property I started to walk home. I see these two shirtless guys hauling these giant ass hiking backpacks over to the field of a mall. They sit down and open up the top compartment of their backpacks, inside is a bit of angel dust and alcohol. I found it funny due to the location, in what is assumed to be the second "nicest" part of my small town. No cops patrol that area, they only patrol the crown jewel of the town, downtown and the high income neighborhoods. The parts of small town that they show in photo ops. Not the areas where some guy gets stabbed every month or so. It's backwards, though I guess that goes with everything inside this town. The rest of the walk home was uneventful, nothing really of note. I got home, did some pull-ups with the ankle weights on and took a quick nap with the dogs. It was around 13:30 and I felt tired from the lack of sleep I got the night before. Checked my highschool calendar, nothing. Checked my college calendar, nothing. I decided to call my aunt to see if I could visit her. The town where is lives is nicer in almost every way. Even if the streets are completely fucked due to poor planning and zoning conflicts, the town is accepting of people like me, even if I'm not comfortable with outwardly showing that I'm trans it's still nice to be near a place that is accepting. As today was election day, the polls were open. I'm not old enough to vote yet, but I still would like to observe how crowded the polls are. It was around 15:15, there's sirens going off outside in the vicinity of the polls. This was a better time than any to go and check out what was happening. The polls were completely fine, actually empty due to some guy's house getting burnt down. Everyone was fine, though the roads were blocked by police and the fire department. That's about it for today, nothing really eventful happened. Though nothing miserable as well, so I should be thankful for that. Have a good evening SDF
