After nearly five or so years of using a fairly simplistic basic phone, I'm back to using a smartphone. I didn't really want to go back to using one, but it was beginning to affect multiple people in my life, specifically my girlfriend. What was once quirky has turned into a major headache for her. I didn't mind that I couldn't pay for parking, receive pictures, get directions, etc. I'd work around those things, or do without. She wasn' too thrilled about those things, though. My new phone is now comically big, so I tend to leave it at home or in the car. Even when I use it for something like directions, CoMaps only sometimes finds the address I'm looking for (well, the address my girlfriend is looking for). Totally fine by me, but still an annoyance for her. I'm willing to put up with a smartphone for now, but I'm not sure how long I can last.
