Thankfully, their vile service doesn't extend outside the Atlanta area.

Here's a transcript of a recent telephone conversation:

Me: Hey, my internet is down. I noticed that I don't get an IP from my DHCP 
request, and that the 'line' light on the modem is off. I believe something 
is wrong with the line. Can you send someone out to fix this?

Them: Ok, but if nothing is wrong with the line, we'll have to charge a $50 
travel fee. Can I get your IP address?

Me: Umm, there isn't one. I said that I can't get one through DHCP. The 
line is down.

Them: Well, there has to be an IP address. 

Me: Ok, I only have 127.0.0.1.. how's that?

Them: That's not an IP address.

At this point, I decided to ask for my money back for the deposit on the 
modem. What a bunch of imcompetant morons... they don't even know that 
localhost is an IP address! 

If anyone here ever lives in this area, be sure not to get these jackoffs 
as your ISP. I'm currently going to try and find someone else.... even if 
it means going to dialup if comcast isn't available.
