Looking to Set Up a Tiny Gopherspace Server

I recently got a Raspberry Pi as a means to learn more about 
UNIX/LINUX in general. I've been thinking about projects towards
that end, and realized that setting up my own pubnix with a tiny
gopherspace server might be both fun and educational. 

I am part of a local art collective and decided that it might be 
interesting to incoporate it into one of our exhibits. My plan is
to host artistic pieces, either written or in small downloadable
image files, and have the server reside in our gallery. I think
it's an interesting idea, the art is in our gallery, but the only
way to access it is from outside.

My first obstacle is I know almost nothing about how to get
started. I'll be spending the next few weeks seeking out other
gopher servers hosted on Raspberry Pis, in hopes of finding a place
to start. If you are reading this contemporaneously and have any
