And the scientist who held the chair of evolution at Paris' great
Sorbonne University for over thirty years, even though he was himself a
confirmed evolutionist, ridiculed Darwinism and neo-Darwinism as
follows: "Directed by all-powerful selection, chance becomes a sort of
providence, which, under the cover of atheism, is not named but which is
secretly worshipped."[1] Yet somehow this vaporous system of thought,
popularized by Charles Darwin, has impacted the whole world more than
any other scientific concept ever concocted, before or since! What goes
on here?
