Every once in a while, I pick up something from the library which serves little to not useful purpose, but still appeals to me in some personal way. How about Snoopy in Latin? The book in question is "Insuperabilis Snupius" (the title hardly requires translation), European Language Institute, 1984 (translator is Guido Angelino). Not a very easy book to find in general, AFAIK, but the central Deichman Library in Oslo retains a copy, to their credit. I have had a soft spot for the language since taking it in the equivalent of senior high. I had the most delightful teacher, an eccentric, passionate woman who treated me like a star pupil. I'm no star pupil these days, so we'll see how it goes.
