Productivity has the air of a buzzword, there is even a bit of a cottage industry around it. There is however some substance to it. Structure and habits make it easier to get stuff done. It's a lesson I have never absorbed fully in practice, mostly because it tends to feel like a lot of work, so this is a reminder to myself. Someone recently reminded me of the existence of the last version of WordStar (the DOS word processor) online. I do like how the keystroke commands are so easily available for the touch typist, not much finger movement required. I use a key switcher which was bundled in the download, so the CTRL key ends up in the "home" row, where you would normally find Caps Lock. Good software for distraction-free writing, no fancy bells or whistles, just word processing.
