I am looking at some career and educational opportunities, one of them a full-time backend development course from a school I trust with teachers I already know. As a not particularly experienced developer, anything that can expand my skillset is valuable, to a degree. The school is biased towards .NET on the backend and SQL databases, not my typical preference (although SQL is always good to be fluent in). But maybe getting more comfortable with tech I use less often is not such a bad thing. I have mostly worked with frontend stuff, but tinkering with the visual aspects of a website has never appealed to me as much as getting the machinery to work. I'm enjoying the summer, but knowing me, I can't sit still for too long without any projects.
