I am having another bad tech day. I am running Ubuntu 20.0.4 (focal) LTS, which is no longer being supported. archive.canonical.com refuses to connect, so I cannot use 'apt update' Bluetooth refuses to recognize my Mouse, I get hci0 connection, org.bluez.* errors. My operating system is slow to wake up, even after a long sleep and a full battery. I tried a Western Digital HD but it is NTFS formatted, so I can't use it, although it's recognized, sort of. My husband must have formatted it for his Windows 10 Machine. I have a Seagate exFAT exHD I am using for backups. It doesn't let me select folders, but backs up the entire machine. My XMPP Client tells me that my XMPP Server has an invalid TLS Certificate. From what I see this problem must be remedied from the server, nothing I can do. This error persists for three days, thus I am looking for a new, reliable, XMPP server. I would ask my XMPP friends for recommendations, but, you know... very few look at this, and I can't get onto my XMPP server. Update: found my missing Parker Vector pen in my short trenchcoat! The ink flows nicely. Update 2: Made so many errors last night. This is what happens when I attempt to pay attention to the BC Party Leaders' debate, which was low quality for the narrowness of the questions asked, and the lack of preparation and presentation of the two Party Leaders who are not the Premier. To be fair, those two non-Premier leaders filled their roles four months, and four weeks, before the debate. Update 3: I am going to attempt 200GB space recovery on the 1TB Seagate drive, use fdupes and rsync as well, search for the Mint iso, and give MATE a test run. To my delight I learned a home business 9 km from me has lots of refurbished Lenovo Thinkpads for sale. In case my Lenovo ThinkPad has deteriorating components I'd like to support a local business.
